1996 Turkey Home Shirt

The primary colour is a vibrant red, with bold white vertical stripes on both the right and left shoulders, tapering off towards the chest. The stripes are accompanied by thinner, parallel lines giving a sense of motion and depth.

Adidas's iconic three-stripe design adorns the edges of the sleeves in white, contrasting sharply with the red. The Adidas logo is placed centrally on the chest, just above the Turkish flag, which features prominently in the middle, adding a patriotic touch with its white star and crescent on a red background.

The v-neck collar and the sleeve cuffs are also detailed with white trim, providing a clean and cohesive look. Additionally, there's a small black patch on the lower left side of the jersey which indicate a Turkish Football Federation's mark.

The overall design carries a classic look with a straightforward colour scheme that highlights national pride.

During the 1996 UEFA European Championship, the Turkey national football team faced a challenging group stage in Group D. They ended the stage without a single point, finishing at the bottom of their group with a goal difference of -5, scoring no goals and conceding five.

Turkey's campaign began on June 11 against Croatia at City Ground, Nottingham, where they were narrowly defeated with a final score of 0-1, with Croatia's Vlaović scoring the only goal of the match in the 86th minute.

Their subsequent match was against Portugal on June 14, also at City Ground, Nottingham. The game ended in a 1-0 loss for Turkey, with Portugal's Couto finding the net in the 66th minute.

Turkey's final group stage match was on June 19 against Denmark at Hillsborough, Sheffield. The team suffered a 0-3 defeat, with Denmark's Brian Laudrup scoring twice and A. Nielsen adding another, leaving Turkey to exit the tournament without advancing to the knockout stage.
